"...live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble" I Peter 3:8
As we begin embracing the most wonderful time of the year, often we encounter hindrances to our cheery, joyful spirit. Long lines, rushed and harried people, the "I want" attitude from commercialism and as time inches closer we deal with fatigue, stress and sometimes wonder if we will get it all done!
Since most people we encounter are dealing with these same issues and often more intense issues we may not know about, this verse spoke to me about my attitude. As we go about and begin our Christmas routines, may we be kind, peaceable and loving to others. May we be sympathetic when needed, full of compassion and of course humility! May we exercise patience with others and let God's gifts of grace, peace and love flow freely to those around us.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. We must remember it is not all about us and our needs and our time. Others are important as well and we need to remember to be courteous. :) Great thoughts!
