My soul longs, yes, even faints For the courts of the LORD; My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Psalms 84:2
It is a great thing to be an active part of a local church. It is wonderful to have the opportunity to serve in a local church. But sometimes my heart yearns to pray as the psalmist does: “My heart and my flesh cry out for the Living God.” To seek for the Living God, not programs, not socials, but to worship the Lord with a hungry heart that He promises to fill. Do I truly long for the courts of God, to go to church with the sole purpose of seeking Him?
As we are blessed to enter our churches week after week, may we develop that hunger and longing for the Living God and may He fill us with all that He is.
That is so true! Thanks for the thought and the beautiful photo.
