Milestones

Milestones in life...they use to be things like a baby's first tooth, first steps, first day of school etc.  Then the more time passes, the bigger they get.  First day of school, graduation, first car, first job, girlfriends, then a wedding...wow, can we ever keep up with the changes of life?  And I know there are still some great things to come. Life moves quickly and monumental moments come and go in the blink of an eye.  I've shared and tried to practice the 'savor and enjoy every moment' plan, but life gets busy and so often special moments get passed by. This summer, my youngest son and I stopped by his school to get his end of year report card.  As we were walking back out, it hit me, he is finished with his middle school 'career'.  He will be moving on to high school.  Then, I realized, this was the last of our 3 sons which have all attended this school.  So....it is really, goodbye SMS for our family! To Try This Week

This is 'back to school week'.  Time to get back on a schedule, get a little more organized, move quicker and be more productive!!  All because we have to - which is a sure fire way to get it done!  I've been in somewhat of a summer menu slump....you know, where you cook the same thing over and over, nothing sounds appealing and there is no desire to find anything new in food to explore.   Well...Pinterest send me a weekly email and instead of passing it by, clicked on it.  Would you believe the wealth of inspiration!!  Somehow from hopping from Pinterest Board to Board, I found one with some great recipes to try.   I've done this before, found recipes,  printed them off and then let them sit in a folder to try 'later'!  Since this is the week to get it together, I'm printing them and posting them for a little accountability!!   Here are a few recipes I'm planning , going to try this week! Mother's Day...A Little Late!

I love coming and logging on to my own blog!  Apparently it has been months since I posted.  It used to be such a part of my life, day to day activities were shared along with plans, dreams and encouragement.  Facebook has since become the day to day source of social media, but I love this blog to capture memories and milestones of life. I even downloaded the blogger app to my phone to be able to capture easier things to blog.  In fact, these pictures were there as a sweet reminder of Mother's Day..back in May!!!  This was a different Mother's Day this year, sweet hubby had to work, oldest son was unable to come for the day, so it was a bit quieter than usual.  But a heartfelt gift of fresh picked wildflowers and the boys asking to take pictures (on their own, no prodding) made it a special day I want to cherish... So here are a few pictures from a special Mother's Day 2015!
