Today is Show and Tell Friday over at Kelli's House It is so much fun to share special things around our home with others.
Today I want to share something very special to me. This week marked a sad day for me - the first anniversary of the passing away of my mother. My aunt who lived right next door to my mother wanted to do something special for me. She wanted to go to town to pick something up, but she didnt' have the time. She created a beautiful bouquet of flowers and put them in a vase and presented them to me. Something very special she did was take some azalea flowers which were blooming in my mother's yard and added some dogwood flowers also. It was a homemade creation made with love and a thought that I will always cherish. Here is a picture of the bouquet. It brought great comfort and joy to me that day!

From the heart, how nice. And maybe it brighted your day alittle. What a thoughtful Aunt.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for your loss. May each day bring lovely memories back to you.
ReplyDeleteYour Aunt is so thoughtful. What a blessing she is.

I'm sorry about your Mom, I'm still blessed to have mine even though we lost my MIL 18 months ago.
ReplyDeleteWhat a thoughtful gift! That was kind of her to do something so special for the both of you really! It was probably good for her, doing a kindness for her dear sister's daughter!

I know, I KNOW just how you feel. Both my parents are now gone from the physical world, but they're still in my heart and memories. The hurt goes away but the thoughts and treasures held in your heart remain!!!
ReplyDeleteHUGS....
Mine's shared, I hope, if you haven't already, you can find time to stop by for a visit.
Sweet & thoughtful indeed.

So sweet, and so much better than one from the florist.
ReplyDeleteMy mom passed away a little over two years ago and I miss her often.
What a wonderful, from the heart gift, with great memories!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet way to remember your mother. The Azaleas have been in full bloom here in South Georgia over the past few weeks. I love them!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! I feel like we bonded this weekend even though we have never met. Wasn't LPL something??
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dear mother. It must be hard. What a lovely gift from your aunt though, how very thoughtful and sweet!
