Yesterday was one of those unique days where some highs and lows were hit! The day started beautifully with a day off from work, my husband and I spent the morning outside doing yard work - pulling up dead grass and weeds, putting fresh mulch in the flower beds etc., it felt so good getting things accomplished. Later in the day, I started feeling a little queasy, the youngest son had a stomach virus over the weekend and I was hoping no one else would get it. The husband had to go to work and the virus did hit. The night was spent sick, feverish and just plain miserable. But, it seems that those viruses come and go quickly. Today is a new day, God is still in control and worthy of praise. That is a sure fact that can make our hearts rejoice!

ReplyDeleteyour first verse fit so perfectly with our ash wednesday sermon. instead of being ashamed, embarassed or indifferent to the ashes placed on our head...and more importantly the grace and sacrifice for which they stand, we are to boldy wear them into our lives...sharing the meaning and Jesus with all who ask.
