Word Filled Wednesday

Often I remind myself the importance of the words I say. Often I struggle to say the words that I should. Sometimes sharp, unkind words come out when I know that gentle and edifying words are what brings grace to those who hear. This verse - "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth" is a great place to begin to get my heart and mouth in order. When we think how wonderful the Lord is and bless Him and praise Him, our hearts are filled with His goodness and that is what flows from our heart out of our mouths. We are blessed to be a blessing!

    Oh I truly want to be one who blesses God in ALL things like we are commanded to do.

    So true. We all need to be in constant devotion to the Lord. Then, our words and our hearts will be in the right place.

    It is amazing what an impact our words can have - to heal, help, bless or to hurt or destory.... What a responsibility we have to let Christ guard our lips!

WFW – Write It On My Heart

This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel       after that time, declares the Lord.    I will put My laws in their minds       and write them on their hearts.    I will be their God,       and they will be My people.  Hebrews 8:10 On a recent field trip to a museum featuring the days gone by, we sat in an old schoolroom as the teacher introduced us to the quill pen and bottle of ink.  She cautioned us to use extreme caution using the ink and told us that if it got on our skin or clothes, it would not come off.
