Today's session of Completing Him is focused on the question "Do I Admire Him?" Of course we all admire our men, but as we share our lives together in marriage, we tend to notice the good and also pick up on the bad! Those little quirks that may get under our skin can grow if left unchecked. Whatever we tend to put our focus on, that is the area that grows. I needed a reminder and some encouragement to "grow" in my admiration of my husband. Men thrive on admiration (who doesn't?) and in God's Word, women are told to respect and honor our men. Admiration multiplies when it is expressed. Admiration makes a woman's heart beautiful to a man. There is nothing so beautiful as knowing you are loved for simply who you are. What a powerful challenge
to communicate to our men specifically the things we admire about them.
I am a blessed woman and here are a few things that I admire about my husband:
He is the spiritual leader of our home.
He is a man of integrity, faithfulness and diligence.
He is a man of integrity, faithfulness and diligence.
He is a perfectionist and whatever job he does, he does it with all his might.
He is a great husband, loving, protective, always looking out for me.
He is a great father. He loves our boys and is guiding and leading them into being godly men.
He is a hard worker. Through the challenges of his job, he perseveres, fighting fatigue, stress and many other obstacles.
He has good common sense! This can be a rare quality in our world today, but he thinks things through clearly and wisely. No jumping off into foolish or spontaneous decisions.
He is sensitive, caring and loving.
There are many other traits I could list, but my plan for this week is to seek out and comment on the qualities that I love and make known my admiration to him.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement. Definitely don't want to focus on the negatives long enough that I don't admire him any more.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! It's fun reading posts from the other women in the Women Living Well challenge!
