Bless the LORD, O my soul;
And all that is within me,
bless His holy name!
Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Psalms 103:1-5
Gratitude seems to come alive the closer we get to Thanksgiving. We all have so much to be thankful for and the warmth and excitement of the holiday sparks our hearts to thankfulness.
This year, I purposed to use the month of November to count my blessings and be thankful. Whew…who would have thought it was hard to stay diligent in being thankful! Gratitude should always be a part of our heart, but often the stresses of daily life mask it. When I need to release and refresh my thankful heart, this passage of God’s Word is a great reminder. May we join together and Bless the Lord this Thanksgiving. May we not forget all His benefits and then name them one by one! An attitude of gratitude is beautiful thing that adds beauty all around us.
I think you call that "Thanksliving"!
