In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence…Ephesians 1:7-8
As we prepare for the beauty of Easter, may we always keep the cross in view. For it was on the cross that we gained redemption only through the shed blood of Jesus. We received forgiveness of our sins and also His abundant grace. Thinking of how unworthy I am and how rich in mercy and grace He is, causes a song of thankfulness and praise to rise within my heart. Will you celebrate with me the power and sacrifice that He made for us?
Amen, great word!!!

The riches of His grace...Amen!
ReplyDelete7 of our congregation have been asked to speak on the words from the cross on Good Friday afternoon communion service. I was blessed to have "It is finished" after I let go of my first choice when I saw someone else had chosen. My God, why hast thou forsaken me. I feel very blessed as thoughts have been floating through my mind on the glory of Jesus as the alpha and omega, the one who could truly say.......It is finished.
ReplyDeleten the cross of Christ I glory,
Towering o’er the wrecks of time;
All the light of sacred story
Gathers round its head sublime.
When the woes of life o’ertake me,
Hopes deceive, and fears annoy,
Never shall the cross forsake me,
Lo! it glows with peace and joy.
When the sun of bliss is beaming
Light and love upon my way,
From the cross the radiance streaming
Adds more luster to the day.
Bane and blessing, pain and pleasure,
By the cross are sanctified;
Peace is there that knows no measure,
Joys that through all time abide.
In the cross of Christ I glory,
Towering o’er the wrecks of time;
All the light of sacred story
Gathers round its head sublime.
That is gorgeous, thank you. Blessings ~
