Friday is here!! Amiss the anticipation for the weekend, I am loving the opportunity to reflect on the blessings of the past week. As the weeks seem to fly by, it is easy to go through them without stopping to remember the good times and to thank God for the smallest blessings.
Here are a few of my favorite things about this week:
Boot Shopping:
I"m blessed to have three boys and they are truly country boys! My two older ones wear boots regularly and the youngest one loves to follow in their footsteps...literally!!! We took the youngest son boot shopping this weekend. While he and his dad shopped in the boys section, I wandered over to see what they had that had a more feminine look. YEP! Pink, flowers and girly!! That is all me!! I had fun trying them on, but didn't get them. The son found the perfect pair, so the trip was a success!
My New Daily Planner
Becoming organized is one of my desires, but getting there is another story!! I've tried numerous notebooks, planners, printables etc. Last year I found a planner that worked really well, loved the size and the content. This week I received an email about this planner at 1/2 price!! HERE is the link with a preview of the planner.
Timely WORD:
Our church distributes the ladies devotional magazine Journey. Each day is a short, relevant message for women along with a Bible passage to read. One day this week the devotion was about waiting patiently for God....I know...one of those areas which are 'under construction'!! The verse was Lamentations 3:25-26 - "The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord." and as I read and purposed to put this verse into my heart, brought a blessing and hope deep into my soul.
Kombucha
Since I'm always open to ways to improve health, after doing some research, I have began drinking Kombucha. I'll be sharing more about this health drink, but a quick description about it I found is that "It’s more that this beverage promotes health. It gives your body what it needs to heal itself by
1)aiding your liver in removing harmful substances,
2)promoting balance in your digestive system,
3)being rich in health-promoting vitamins, enzymes, and acids.
I love the taste of it and knowing it is something good to be putting into my body. At a recent visit with a relative, she had a bottle on her counter. Finding our common interest in it, this week, we went to the health food store and split a case of it ( less expensive that way) and I have several bottles on hand!
It's been a good week and I've loved looking back and thanking God for bringing us through another one!
