Just For the Joy Of It - Simple Sunshine!!

Last weekend we enjoyed one of those glorious fall days where the sun shone brightly and the air was crisp and clear. I was inside doing some cleaning when my son asked me to go outside with him for him to get his football.

For some reason, he is afraid of dogs and won't go outside by himself for fear that a dog may come up. So, I stood on the steps for him to get his football.

The day was just breathtaking and as I stood on the step and breathed in the the beauty of brilliant sunshine and fresh air, I took a seat on the steps to enjoy the moment.

My son must have caught the beauty of the day also, he detoured and sat down to play in the sand a moment:

He sat engrossed in the sand, I sat engrossed with the beauty of the day. It was a time to stop and enjoy a moment - just for the joy of it!

The forgotten football found under my resting feet!


I'm planning to take advantage of more of these beautiful moments!!

    There is nothing like a beautiful day to refresh the soul. I love being outside when it's nice like that. Your son is a cutie!

    Sounds like ya'll have been having the beautiful weather we've been having too! Just makes me want to be outside all the time :) Your little boy is adorable!

    Don't you love it when God grabs you and says "Hey! pay attention!" He does that so often through my kids. :)

This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel       after that time, declares the Lord.    I will put My laws in their minds       and write them on their hearts.    I will be their God,       and they will be My people.  Hebrews 8:10 On a recent field trip to a museum featuring the days gone by, we sat in an old schoolroom as the teacher introduced us to the quill pen and bottle of ink.  She cautioned us to use extreme caution using the ink and told us that if it got on our skin or clothes, it would not come off. Construction, Challenges, Chaos

 Who knew something simple could erupt into something chaotic so quickly? A broken file cabinet forced us to purchase a new one. We found one online, ordered it and it arrived quickly with a do it yourself assembly book, complete with 24 part packages and 18 steps of instructions!  As we unpacked the items and compared with the instruction book, we realized a part was missing. Customer service was called, a replacement part was quickly received. Except, the screws did not fit into the holes on the replacement part. We tried again, received another part, same issue.  Meanwhile, the 24 packages of parts are spread out on my living room floor, customer service does not understand my issue, they asked for photos which were sent and now we are again, waiting for a part.  It seems every project faces the inevitable delay.
